21st Century Youths of the Niger Delta and Agitators with Conscience (21st CYNDAC) declared that the people of the Niger Delta will no longer tolerate the political sidelining of their leaders. The group emphasized that the region’s resources, which have long supported the nation’s economy, should translate into fair political representation.

The group’s Coordinator, Izon Ebi, made it clear that the Niger Delta community is resolute in preventing a repeat of the political marginalization experienced during former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration. This stance comes in response to the growing calls for Senator Godswill Akpabio’s removal from office, encapsulated by the trending hashtag #AkpabioMustGo.

Ebi stated, “It should be on record that never again will the Niger Delta people, whose resources are used for the benefit of all, allow our leaders to be politically sidelined through the dictates of underhand political brinkmanship. Affliction cannot repeat itself, and we will not sit down and fold our hands for the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan playbook to be reactivated.”
