Ebonyi Community Backs Governor’s Ambitious University of Aeronautics Project

Show of unwavering support, over 5,000 stakeholders and youths from Ezza clan in Ebonyi State gathered on Friday to endorse Governor Francis Nwifuru’s groundbreaking University of Aeronautics initiative. The enthusiastic rally took place at the university’s designated site in Onueke, reflecting the community’s high hopes for the project’s potential to elevate the state’s economic landscape.

The event, which saw participation from notable figures such as former Ezza South-Ikwo federal constituency member Lazarus Ogbee, Commissioner for Environment Victor Chukwu, and Commissioner for Commerce and Industry Oguzor Offia-Nwali, highlighted the strong local backing for the governor’s ambitious vision.

Attendees expressed profound gratitude for the establishment of the university, celebrating it as a landmark achievement for the region. Oguzor Offia-Nwali underscored the significance of the initiative, noting that it fulfills a long-standing commitment to improving educational opportunities for the people of Ebonyi.

“We are here to show our appreciation to Governor Francis Nwifuru,” Offia-Nwali stated. “He has undertaken numerous commendable projects in Ezzaland. However, establishing a tertiary institution here is especially significant, as Ezza has never before had a university.”
