Your Safety Comes First! Army Chief Reaffirms Dedication To Troops And Citizens

General Oluyede made this pledge during the official handover of the Infantry Corps to his successor, Major General Abdulkalifa Ibrahim, in a formal ceremony at the Headquarters Infantry Corps, Jaji, Kaduna State.
During the event, the Acting COAS commended his successor as a skilled senior Infantry officer and gentleman capable of advancing the Corps’ objectives. He urged officers and soldiers to extend their full support to the new commander.
Reflecting on the loss of the late COAS, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, Oluyede expressed gratitude to the Army for their unity during his burial and prayed for continued strength for his family.
In an address at the Major Bulama Parade Ground, he encouraged the troops to move forward from the tragic loss and remain resolute in tackling security challenges nationwide.
The new Commander of the Infantry Corps, Major General Ibrahim, expressed appreciation for the Acting COAS’s impactful leadership and infrastructural initiatives, vowing to sustain the Corps’ progress.
