on four key road projects in the northeastern states of Nigeria.

In a statement released by Zone E Coordinator, Umar Afkawa, NANS has demanded the immediate reactivation of work at the sites of the Numan-Gombe, Numan-Jalingo, Damaturu-Buni Yafi, and Biu-Garkida roads, or face mass protests.

The ultimatum, which begins on Thursday, calls on the Minister of Works, David Umahi, to provide a clear timeline for completing these vital infrastructure projects. NANS has also urged the government to address the challenges that have hindered progress thus far.

Afkawa expressed concern over the severe impact of the delays on students, commuters, and local communities. Despite repeated promises from the federal government, work on these roads remains stagnant, prompting NANS to take urgent action.

The student body has warned that if the government does not meet the 14-day deadline, they will mobilize protests across Adamawa, Gombe, Taraba, and Borno states. They are prepared to involve students, residents, and other stakeholders in demanding immediate attention to the roadworks.
