ADC’s Mission Is Restoration, Not Rancour – Aregbesola Mobilizes Support

The National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rauf Aregbesola, has declared that the party is strategically positioned to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on Sunday during a rousing reception in Osogbo, the former Minister of Interior emphasized that the ADC is not engaging in politics of insults but rather focused on restoring Nigeria’s lost dignity, direction, and competence.

“We are not here to trade insults,” Aregbesola told supporters. “We are here to restore what has been lost — dignity, competence, and direction.”

He warned that the APC would likely deploy tactics such as disinformation, media manipulation, and divisive attacks in a bid to derail ADC’s progress, but assured members that the party would stay focused and resilient.

Aregbesola noted that the ADC remains open to all Nigerians who believe in inclusive, competent, and people-centered leadership. He encouraged the party’s faithful to resist distractions and focus on building a credible alternative for national transformation.

“This is not the time to fight with words. Let them throw insults, we will provide answers. Let others quarrel, we will build,” he said.

Highlighting the challenges facing the nation, Aregbesola cited increasing poverty, insecurity, and a growing sense of national disillusionment as evidence of the APC’s failure to deliver on promises.

“From every part of Nigeria, the people are asking: ‘Is this the future we were promised?’ The sad truth is, things have only gotten worse,” he said.

He reminded supporters of the ADC’s track record in navigating hardship, especially during his tenure in Osun, saying, “We tackled the worst economic crisis in history and still achieved progress. That’s what Nigeria needs now — proven leadership.”

Aregbesola concluded by calling this period “our finest hour,” urging ADC members to lead with clarity, purpose, and resolve.
