They further praised his achievements in education, digital learning, industrialization, agricultural modernization, and health interventions, all guided by a data-informed and transparent approach.

The award was received by Kaduna’s Deputy Governor, Hadiza Balarabe, who also delivered the welcome address, declaring the event open. She emphasized that Kaduna not only hosts the meeting but serves as a model of youth-focused, people-centered governance.

Governor Sani shared details about the Kaduna Youth Economic Empowerment Programme (K-YEEP), which has supported over 6,000 startups in less than two years, and Kaduna TechHUBs, which provides training in AI, cybersecurity, and robotics.

He commended the PGF Secretariat for enhancing state visibility and unity through innovative tools such as the PGF Executive Briefs, Weekly Pulse in five languages, and development tracking initiatives.

The governor urged commissioners to move beyond policy discussions and focus on impact metrics like jobs created, businesses launched, sports medals won, and community solutions implemented.

In her remarks, State Commissioner for Youth Development, Gloria Ibrahim, stressed: “We gather not just for a meeting, but for a mission: to transform the narrative of youth development across our Progressive States.”
