Media personality and Nollywood actress Bisola Aiyeola has shared candid reflections on her experience of becoming a single mother. According to Ireporter Online, Aiyeola revealed that she initially struggled with feelings of shame and fear upon discovering her pregnancy, particularly as her own mother had also raised a child alone.

In an interview with Tope Olowoni, the actress explained that she had been engaged at the time but the marriage never took place, which intensified her apprehension about repeating a family pattern. “I was scared and ashamed of being pregnant and having a baby out of wedlock,” she said, adding that her concerns extended to the possibility that her daughter might face similar challenges.
