Chiwetalu Agu Warns Youngsters: Old Age Expenses Will Outpace Your Party Spending
According to reports, Nollywood veteran Chiwetalu Agu has urged young people to live fully while they are still in their prime, emphasizing the importance of balancing enjoyment with wise preparation for the future.
In a social media video, Agu highlighted the inevitable challenges of old age, warning that health issues such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems, kidney and liver complications, strokes, and cognitive decline are common as people grow older. He encouraged youths to make the most of their youthful years while being mindful of long-term planning.
“Enjoy yourself now that you are young. Time waits for no one. Live your life to the fullest where you have the opportunity. Old age is not child’s play,” Agu stated.
The actor also referenced the Bible, particularly Ecclesiastes 3:1, reminding young people that there is a season and purpose for everything. He stressed the importance of faith, strong family relationships, and financial preparedness. “Old age is best enjoyed when you prepare for it. Your bills will not pay themselves. Invest now while you can. The bills you will pay in your old age will be much more expensive than what you spend in clubs,” he added.
