Badagry Group Endorses Bola Tinubu, Whingan, Bonu For Second Term Amid Loud Political Support

According to Ireporter Online, a political group under the “Yegovodu – Let’s Do It Again” movement has called for the continuation of what it described as proven and effective leadership in Badagry, urging voters to sustain current political officeholders at both federal and state levels ahead of the next electoral cycle.

The call was made by the President of the movement, Olufemi Iroko, during a press conference held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, in Badagry, where he addressed party leaders, stakeholders, and residents. He stressed that sustainable development is best guaranteed through continuity in leadership, describing ongoing governance efforts as impactful and result-driven.

The group specifically commended the federal representation of Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan, stating that his tenure has gone beyond representation to delivering measurable outcomes for constituents. It highlighted his legislative contributions, including support for key institutions such as the Badagry University of Technology and the Nigerian French Language Village, as well as motions addressing challenges like alleged extortion along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.

The group further noted his interventions in social welfare, including food relief for thousands of households, assistance to flood victims, installation of solar street lights, and empowerment initiatives targeting farmers and youths. It also pointed to improvements in education and social support, such as classroom renovations, scholarships, and welfare programmes for vulnerable groups.

At the state level, the movement praised the contributions of Bonu Solomon, describing his efforts as closely aligned with grassroots needs. According to the group, his achievements include bursaries, scholarships, youth empowerment schemes, job facilitation, and NYSC support initiatives.

The group maintained that these interventions have improved mobility and community development across the area.
