Andoni Iraola Set To Exit Bournemouth After Contract Talks Break Down Andoni Iraola
According to Ireporter Online, Spanish tactician Andoni Iraola is set to leave AFC Bournemouth at the end of the season following the collapse of talks over a new contract, bringing his two-year spell at the club to a close.
The 43-year-old, who joined Bournemouth in 2023 as a replacement for Gary O’Neil, is credited with transforming the club’s competitive edge in the Premier League. Under his leadership, the Cherries finished 12th in his debut campaign and improved further to ninth in his second full season, with the team currently sitting 11th on the table and just three points behind Chelsea with six matches remaining.
Club insiders indicate that Bournemouth were keen to retain Iraola due to his impressive impact and tactical evolution of the squad. However, negotiations over a new deal ultimately broke down, paving the way for his departure on a free transfer this summer, with the coach now expected to attract significant interest across Europe.
