Roby Ekpo Rejects Mayowa Lambe’s N100m Demand, Vows Counterclaims In Escalating Dispute
According to Ireporter Online, media personality Robert Ekpo has rejected a cease-and-desist notice issued by his estranged wife, Mayowa Lambe, describing her N100 million compensation demand as excessive, unfounded, and premature.
Ekpo, in a formal response issued through TAP Legal Services and shared via Instagram, categorically denied the allegations levelled against him, insisting that his public comments were based on personal experiences and matters he reasonably believes to be true. His legal team maintained that at no point did he act with malice or intent to damage Lambe’s reputation, stressing that the dispute stems from a complex interpersonal relationship that cannot be selectively presented to construct a misleading narrative.
The response further faulted the three-day ultimatum issued by Lambe’s legal representatives, describing it as unreasonable and inconsistent with legal practice, especially in a matter involving disputed facts. Ekpo’s lawyers also disclosed that he possesses documentary and testimonial evidence contradicting several claims made against him, including communications and interaction records, which would be presented at the appropriate legal forum.
The letter warned that Ekpo is prepared to vigorously defend any legal action and may file counterclaims for harassment, intimidation, and reputational damage arising from what he described as false or exaggerated allegations. It also noted that Lambe’s notice could be tendered as evidence in future proceedings, including a potential petition to United States authorities.
Despite the escalating dispute, Ekpo reportedly maintained that he remains open to lawful and structured resolution but will not accept coercion into admissions or concessions under threat.
The development follows earlier allegations made by Ekpo during a podcast interview, where he accused Lambe of deceptive conduct during their marriage and financial strain before their separation, claims which have further intensified the ongoing legal and public controversy.
