Osimhen’s Brace Secures Galatasaray’s Record 26th Turkish Title Following Comeback Victory

The triumph ensured a fourth consecutive league championship for the Istanbul giants, matching one of their most dominant eras in club history between 1996 and 2000. However, the celebration came under pressure in a tense encounter that twice saw Galatasaray fall behind in front of their home supporters.

Antalyaspor shocked the hosts just before halftime when Soner Dikmen gave the visitors the lead. The situation worsened after the restart as Mario Lemina, introduced from the bench, restored parity in the 56th minute, only for Dikmen to strike again six minutes later to put Antalyaspor back in front.

Galatasaray responded through Osimhen, who first converted a penalty in the 66th minute to level the score before completing the turnaround with a composed finish in the 88th minute. Kaan Ayhan later added a fourth goal in stoppage time to confirm the victory and secure the title in style.

The result capped a remarkable season for Osimhen, who has now contributed goals or assists in 11 consecutive league matches. His career achievements continue to grow, having previously won the FIFA U-17 World Cup, the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations, a Serie A title with Napoli, and last season’s Turkish league and cup double with Galatasaray.
