No More Pull-Him-Down Politics! Ohanaeze Youths Rally Behind Uzodinma

According to Ireporter Online, the group made its position known during a press conference held in Owerri on Friday, where its National Publicity Secretary, Mazi Chika Adiele, addressed journalists alongside members of the organisation’s executive council.

The youth wing described Uzodinma as a courageous and visionary leader whose stewardship as chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum has elevated the political relevance of Ndigbo within the national landscape.

The group noted that the Imo State governor has consistently demonstrated commitment to the interests of the Igbo people and has played a significant role in fostering peace, inclusiveness and purposeful leadership among Igbos at home and in the diaspora.

The organisation also credited Uzodinma with helping to stabilise and reposition Ohanaeze Ndigbo, while strengthening unity among leaders and stakeholders across the South-East.

The youth body warned against what it described as a coordinated effort to undermine the governor’s leadership and urged governors of the All Progressives Congress in the South-East not to allow themselves to be used in divisive political schemes.

It stressed that this was a crucial period for Igbo leaders to close ranks, speak with one voice and desist from actions that could weaken the region’s collective political influence for personal or partisan interests.

The group further called on all Igbo political stakeholders to work closely with Uzodinma in advancing the unity, relevance and rightful position of Ndigbo within Nigeria’s political structure.
