In a related development, the Tanimu Turaki-led faction of the PDP has scheduled Tuesday for the screening of former President Goodluck Jonathan as its sole presidential aspirant. The screening committee, according to party sources, includes prominent figures such as former Vice-President Namadi Sambo, ex-Governor Jonah Jang, and former Foreign Affairs Minister Tom Ikimi, alongside other senior party stakeholders. Although officially described as having a lone aspirant, sources familiar with the process identified Jonathan as the individual being screened.
