Afro-house singer Niniola Apata has confirmed the death of her husband, Michael Ndika, in a series of emotional posts shared on her Instagram story early Wednesday.

According to Ireporter Online, the singer expressed deep grief over the loss, writing briefly, “God took him,” followed by another post stating, “My husband died.” She further reflected on their long-standing relationship, adding, “God took him. 13 years. 13 f***ing years,” highlighting the depth of their bond.

Michael Ndika was the Chief Executive Officer of NaijaReview, a multimedia platform known for its focus on afro-house and contemporary African music. Details surrounding the cause of his death have not been disclosed as of the time of filing this report.

Niniola, 39, rose to prominence after finishing among the top contestants on Project Fame West Africa in 2013. She later established herself as one of Nigeria’s leading music stars, with her 2017 hit single Maradona earning her international recognition and opening doors to global collaborations.
