Wike’s PDP Camp Unveals House Of Reps Candidates For Oyo Contest

The faction of the Peoples Democratic Party aligned with Nyesom Wike has announced 14 candidates who will contest for seats in the House of Representatives of Nigeria under the party’s platform in Oyo State during the 2027 general elections.

The list was disclosed in Ibadan in a statement issued by the party’s state Organising Secretary, Stephen Olaniyi. According to the statement, the candidates emerged from primary elections conducted across the state on Sunday and have been selected to represent the party in various federal constituencies.

Among those named are Samson Fatola for Ibadan South-West/North-West, Idris Olanrewaju for Oyo East/Oyo West/Atiba/Afijio, and Olusegun Akinloye for Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere.

Other candidates include Elizabeth Alao for Ido/Ibarapa East, Rasaki Haruna for Ibarapa Central/North, and Rotimi Ajumobi for Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa/Kajola.

Also selected are Adedotun Adebayo for Oluyole, Olusoji Olusegun for Ibadan North, and Solomon Odeyemi for Egbeda/Ona-Ara.

Victoria Akinyemi will contest in Akinyele/Lagelu, Abdul-Lateef Adeniran will represent Irepo/Olorunsogo/Orelope, while Ramota Azeez has been chosen for Atisbo/Saki East/Saki West.

The remaining candidates are Olayemi Akinyemi for Ibadan South-East/North-East and Ajoke Okanlawon for Ogbomoso North/South/Oriire.

The faction expressed optimism that the candidates possess the capacity to deliver victory at the polls and called on party members across the state to close ranks and support their preparations for the 2027 elections.
