Nasarawa Governor Abdullahi Sule Secures APC Senatorial Ticket

Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Nasarawa North Senatorial District following a decisive victory in the party’s primary election.

According to official results announced at Akwanga, the headquarters of the senatorial district, Sule defeated his only challenger, former Deputy Governor of the state and immediate past Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment, Silas Ali Agara.

Chairman of the Nasarawa State APC National Assembly Primary Elections Committee, Musa Shuaibu Guri, disclosed that Sule secured 45,393 votes, while Agara polled 2,915 votes.

Guri stated that the governor satisfied all constitutional and procedural requirements outlined in the APC guidelines and was therefore declared the winner of the exercise.

With the victory, Sule has been formally returned as the party’s senatorial candidate for Nasarawa North ahead of the 2027 general election.
