Emeka Rollas Cancels Birthday Celebration In Honour Of Alex Ekubo

Rollas, in a statement shared via Instagram, described Ekubo’s death as a painful loss and urged the industry to embrace a period of sober reflection, prayer, and unity. He appealed for all planned birthday surprises and parties in his honour to be cancelled, stressing that the moment should instead be dedicated to remembering the late actor. He further requested that a two-minute silence be observed across film locations, studios, offices, cinemas, and homes nationwide in tribute to Ekubo’s memory. Rollas noted that Ekubo’s talent, warmth, and presence left a lasting impact on many within and beyond the entertainment space, calling for collective strength for all those grieving the loss.
