Kefas Secures APC Governorship Ticket In Taraba State

Governor Agbu Kefas has emerged as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State ahead of the forthcoming election, following a decisive primary election victory.

According to Ireporter Online, the APC primary held in Taraba State ended with Kefas recording a landslide win over his closest rival, Mu’azu Jaji. Kefas polled a total of 166,357 votes, while Jaji secured 4,110 votes, a wide margin that confirmed his dominance within the party structure.

After being officially declared winner on Friday evening, Governor Kefas described the exercise as a credible and successful democratic process. He urged party members and supporters to put aside internal divisions and unite for the development and progress of Taraba State.

He also expressed gratitude to the leadership of the APC at various levels for their support and confidence in his leadership, as well as to the people of Taraba State for their continued cooperation with his administration.

Kefas reaffirmed his commitment to leadership anchored on fairness, humility, and service delivery, noting that his government would sustain ongoing policies and programmes aimed at improving the welfare of residents across the state. He further pledged to consolidate on the achievements already recorded as preparations intensify for the upcoming governorship election.
