According to Ireporter Online, President Bola Tinubu and the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Remi Tinubu, on Saturday participated in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election held in Lagos State.

The President and his wife were seen casting their votes at Ward E in Ikoyi, Lagos, where the party’s presidential primary exercise was conducted amid a large turnout of party members and supporters. As the President arrived at the venue, the atmosphere was filled with excitement, with supporters singing his popular political anthem, “On Your Mandate.”

The APC presidential primary is part of the party’s nationwide exercise aimed at selecting its candidate for the 2027 general elections. The process, which is being held across 8,809 wards in the country, is expected to involve about 14 million registered party members.

The APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, had earlier stated that the party’s membership had nearly reached 14 million, noting that a significant proportion of members are young Nigerians between the ages of 18 and 35.
