President Bola Tinubu on Saturday secured a commanding victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary conducted in Ward L2 of Eti-Osa Local Government Area, Lagos State, ahead of the 2027 general election.

Reports monitored by Ireporter Online indicated that the exercise took place at Ireti Nursery and Primary School located on Mekwen Street, off Queens Drive in Ikoyi, where party members participated in the direct primary under heavy security presence.

Tinubu, who is seeking to retain the APC presidential ticket, contested alongside businessman Sterlyn Osifo in the primary election. At the conclusion of voting, the President emerged with an overwhelming 4,996 votes from the 5,163 accredited voters recorded for the exercise.

Party faithful and supporters reportedly turned out in large numbers from the early hours of the day, while key APC stakeholders gathered at the venue to demonstrate support for the President.

Tinubu reportedly arrived at the polling venue around 11:35 a.m., shortly after the completion of voter accreditation.

Speaking before voting commenced, Ojelabi praised party members for maintaining orderliness throughout the process, describing the exercise as peaceful and properly coordinated. He also applauded members for their continued support for both the APC and the President.

The ward returning officer, Martha Adikwu, later announced the official results, confirming Tinubu’s decisive triumph in the ward primary.
