Why I Quit University After Paying Over ₦2 Million – Peller
Peller, the popular TikTok streamer, has addressed criticisms surrounding his educational background, maintaining that he has not abandoned his academic ambitions despite persistent online attacks.
According to reports, Peller disclosed during a live streaming session that he had previously secured admission into a university and paid more than ₦2 million in tuition and other fees before eventually withdrawing from the institution. He alleged that the university failed to honour an agreement that would have allowed him to continue creating online content while attending lectures.
The content creator expressed confidence that returning to school remains part of his future plans, stressing that education is still important to him. He noted that his partner is a university graduate and expressed his desire for both himself and his future child to attain the same academic milestone.
Explaining his decision to discontinue the programme, Peller claimed the institution initially assured him he could stream his classes while pursuing his studies. However, he alleged that the arrangement was later revoked, leaving him with no choice but to stop attending lectures.
He further claimed that the amount he paid exceeded what other students at the institution were charged, insisting that despite spending over ₦2 million, the promises made to him were not fulfilled.
His remarks have since generated widespread reactions on social media, with some users applauding his determination to eventually complete his education, while others questioned his claims regarding the fees he paid and the circumstances surrounding his withdrawal.
The comments come amid ongoing public conversations about education and youth culture, following recent criticism by rapper YCee, who raised concerns over what he described as the growing “Peller culture” and declining academic values among young Nigerians.
