APC Congress: Amb Johnson Calls On Aggrieved Party Members To Close Ranks And Work With New Party Executives

Benin City: An APC chieftain and a former youth director in the last Edo APC Governorship Campaign Council, Amb. Johnson Enorense Iyamu has admonished all aggrieved APC members to close rank and embrace peace.

Johnson Iyamu In a statement issued to the press Thursday evening called on all the aggrieved members of the party to forget the past and close ranks in order to move the party forward.

According to him, it is only in an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity that the party can continue to provide leadership and good governance to the populace.

“It is a fact that some party members are aggrieved over some issues arising from the congress held across the 36 states of the federation, I understand the struggle and commitment of our APC leaders to meet the expectations of Nigerians and it is for this very same reasons I call on our party leaders to sustain this trust by ensuring our leaders come together and embrace peace so as to take the party to next level of development.

For those that are genuinely aggrieved, I urge them to make use of the necessary appeal panel put in place to handle such complaints. The APC as a party is disciplined enough to handle such a crisis and it behoves our party members to trust in the mechanism put in place to address such irregularities if ascertained.

It is okay to be aggrieved, we all get aggrieved at one time or the other but it is not okay to continue on a journey into the wilderness, we must acknowledge the fact that Nigerians expect much from us and it is our responsibility to live up to the expectations of Nigerians.

The structure of APC should be allowed rebuilt in the spirit of peace and accommodation. As one of the youth leaders in the party I believe in the power of one voice and in such times like this it is imperative that the young people of the party remain united with one voice and stand firmly behind the progressive ideals of the APC”

The youth leader further expressed his confidence in the elected ward and local government executives of Ikpoba Okha local government area.
