If Adeboye Is Silent, I’ll Stay Silent Too” – Apostle Suleman
According to Ireporter Online, the Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has stated that he will not publicly comment on the ongoing insecurity challenges in the country, while also defending the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, against recent criticisms.
Suleman made the remarks during a gathering with members of his congregation in Auchi, Edo State, where he addressed growing public backlash directed at Pastor Adeboye over alleged silence on insecurity under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
He dismissed claims that Adeboye had previously led protests during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan, insisting that such narratives were misleading. According to him, what occurred at the time was a directive from the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), which instructed pastors to embark on a prayer walk in response to national hardship and insecurity.
The cleric further questioned expectations that an 84-year-old religious leader should physically participate in street protests, describing such demands as unrealistic.
Suleman added that critics were unfair in their assessment of the RCCG leader, stressing that Adeboye had not personally staged any protest in the past. He also remarked, “I am a son of Adeboye, and if he is not speaking out, I am speaking out too.”
