Former Sokoto State Governor and Senator representing Sokoto South, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has described the visit of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) vice-presidential candidate, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, as a significant milestone in the party’s preparations for the 2027 general elections.

According to Ireporter Online, Tambuwal received Amaechi and his delegation on Thursday and congratulated the former Rivers State governor on his emergence as the ADC’s vice-presidential candidate. He expressed confidence that Amaechi’s extensive experience in public service would play a vital role in advancing the party’s vision of providing credible leadership for Nigeria.

Tambuwal explained that the meeting provided an opportunity for both leaders to deliberate on strategies for building a united and inclusive political platform capable of addressing the nation’s pressing challenges while strengthening democratic governance.

The former Speaker of the House of Representatives also welcomed the judgment of the Federal High Court affirming the legitimacy of the Senator David Mark-led leadership of the ADC. He described the ruling as a triumph for the rule of law and constitutional democracy, noting that it had resolved all legal disputes surrounding the party’s leadership.

He stated that the court’s decision had cleared the path for party members to focus entirely on strengthening the ADC and presenting Nigerians with a credible political alternative founded on justice, inclusion, competence, and national renewal.

Tambuwal further urged members of the party to remain united, committed, and focused on the ADC’s ideals, expressing optimism that collective efforts would not only strengthen the party but also deepen Nigeria’s democracy and advance the aspirations of its citizens.
