Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, is currently facing a serious health challenge, with his daughter, Kira Taiwo, explaining why the actor has been unable to travel to India for further medical treatment.

According to IReporter Online, Kira disclosed that her father has been diagnosed with stage four cancer and that the family had already obtained an Indian visa in preparation for his treatment abroad.

However, she explained that the actor’s current health condition has made it unsafe for him to travel by air at the moment.

Kira said the family is therefore seeking recommendations for experienced specialists, hospitals and medical centres capable of providing appropriate treatment and managing her father’s condition.

She appealed to members of the public who may have useful contacts within the medical field to assist the family in identifying the right healthcare professionals.

The actor’s daughter also clarified that the family is not currently appealing for financial donations. Instead, she said their priority is finding a competent medical team that can provide the treatment and care her father requires.

Kira further revealed that Senator Adeola Yayi has been supporting the family financially throughout the difficult period.

She expressed appreciation for the assistance while emphasising that the immediate need is for qualified medical professionals who can attend to the actor.

The family’s appeal has since generated concern among fans and colleagues of the veteran actor, with supporters expected to continue offering prayers and useful recommendations as the family searches for appropriate medical care.
