US Adds More Nigerians To Deportation List, Total Hits 134 With Names & Photos

The United States government has reportedly expanded its list of Nigerian nationals facing deportation proceedings, bringing the reported number to 134, with the names and photographs of those listed made public.

According to Ireporter Online, the individuals were arrested or detained in different parts of the United States, including Dallas, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Baltimore, New York and Salt Lake City.

The individuals on the list are reportedly facing a range of allegations, including financial crimes, violent offences, sexual offences, drug-related violations and weapons-related charges.

Among those identified is Adesina Surajudeen Lasisi, who was arrested in Dallas, Texas, and is reportedly facing wire fraud and mail fraud charges.

Others include Eghosa Obaretin, who was arrested in San Antonio, Texas, over alleged fraud and wire fraud offences, while Stephen Oseghale, detained in Thomson, Illinois, is reportedly facing wire fraud and identity theft charges.

Obinwanne Okeke was reportedly arrested in Oakdale, Louisiana, on a wire fraud charge, while Benjamin Ifebajo was detained in Atlanta over an alleged money-laundering offence. Chukwudi Kingsley Kalu, arrested in Salt Lake City, is also reportedly facing a money-laundering charge.

Oludayo Adeagbo, detained in Butner, North Carolina, reportedly faces wire fraud and identity theft charges. Toluwani Adebakin, arrested in Yazoo City, Mississippi, is reportedly accused of wire fraud and money laundering.

Another individual, Benji Macaulay, was reportedly detained in Lompoc, California, over allegations including making false statements, fraudulent citizenship claims and unauthorised use of credit cards.

The revised list also includes individuals accused of violent and sexual offences. Donald Ehie, arrested in Clayton, Missouri, reportedly faces allegations involving assault, weapons offences, kidnapping and aggravated assault.

Ibrahim Ijaoba, who is reportedly being held in Florence, Colorado, and described as having an alleged affiliation with the Bloods gang, faces robbery and assault-related charges, including an allegation involving an assault on a police officer.

Oluwaseyanu Akinola Afolabi, apprehended in Brownsburg, Indiana, is reportedly facing charges connected to the alleged sexual exploitation of a minor and other sexual offences.

Emmanuel Mayegun Adeola, detained in District Heights, Maryland, and Oladayo Agboola, held in Orient, Ohio, are reportedly facing assault charges. Other names on the list include Joshua Ineh, who was arrested in Burnsville, Minnesota, and Oluwadamilola Olufunsho Ojo, apprehended in Conroe, Texas, over an alleged aggravated offence involving a family member.

The list also contains individuals facing drug and weapons-related allegations. Franklin Ibeabuchi, detained in Tallahassee, Florida, reportedly faces a prohibited-weapons charge, while Aderemi Akefe, detained in Detroit, Michigan, is accused of attempting to evade customs fees and driving under the influence.

Ifeanyi Nwaozomudoh, detained in Dallas, reportedly faces robbery and drug-related allegations, while Olamide Jolayemi, held in Oklahoma City, is listed in connection with alleged computer-related offences and driving under the influence.

The publication of the names and photographs forms part of the US authorities’ broader immigration enforcement efforts involving foreign nationals facing criminal or immigration-related proceedings.

However, the allegations and charges listed against the individuals do not by themselves constitute convictions, and the circumstances and legal status of each case may vary.
