10 Alleged Internet Fraudsters Apprehended In Nasarawa Hideout

Raid on Cybercriminals’ Lair Acting swiftly on credible intelligence indicating the infiltration of cybercriminals into Keffi LGA, police operatives from Angwan Lambu Division launched a raid on the suspects’ hideout nestled within the GRA area of Keffi.
Items Seized in Bust The raid yielded a substantial haul of incriminating evidence, including two laptops, a cache of ten sophisticated mobile phones spanning various brands, three WIFI routers, along with an assortment of criminal paraphernalia such as charms and illicit substances like Loud weed and suspected marijuana leaves.
Confessions and Legal Proceedings The apprehended suspects have reportedly confessed to engaging in internet fraud, colloquially referred to as Yahoo Plus. With the investigation ongoing, authorities plan to press charges against the suspects, ensuring they face due legal process for their alleged crimes.
Commendation for Law Enforcement Nasarawa State Police Commissioner, CP Umar Shehu Nadada psc, mni, lauded the diligent efforts of the officers involved in the operation, urging them to maintain vigilance and continue cracking down on criminal hideouts across the region. This successful bust underscores law enforcement’s unwavering commitment to curbing cybercrime and ensuring public safety in Nasarawa State.
