2023 Elections: See What Happened To Gov Ugwuanyi’s Senate Bid
Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has lost his bid to represent Enugu North Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
In the election held on Saturday by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Ugwuanyi was defeated by Okechukwu Ezea of the Labour Party.

While Ezea won with 104,948 votes, Ugwuanyi came in second with 46,948 votes.
Ugwuanyi, who is finishing his second term as governor of Enugu State, was running for the Enugu North District seat in the red chamber. Before being elected governor in 2015, he served in the House of Representatives.
