2025 Hajj: NAHCON Begins Pilgrims’ Return to Nigeria June 9
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has confirmed that the return journey of Nigerian pilgrims from Saudi Arabia will begin on June 9, 2025. This announcement was made by the Chairman/CEO of NAHCON, Prof. Abdullahi Saleh, during an Eid al-Adha message delivered in Mina on Friday.
According to Saleh, the first set of return flights will involve pilgrims from Imo State (via Air Peace), Bauchi State (via Max Air), and Kebbi and Sokoto States (via Flynas).
He congratulated Muslim pilgrims for successfully observing the Hajj and praised their discipline and cooperation throughout the process, which he said contributed to the smooth running of the pilgrimage.
Saleh also urged pilgrims and the wider Muslim community to reflect on the values of trust, sacrifice, and obedience symbolized by the Hajj rites, citing the examples of Prophet Ibrahim and Hajara.
He appreciated the efforts of NAHCON staff, state pilgrims boards, and President Bola Tinubu’s administration for their support in ensuring successful operations. Saleh concluded by assuring Nigerians of NAHCON’s commitment to continuous improvement.
