50-Year-Old Man Charged With Assault And Threats In Ekiti

According to the police prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, the incident occurred on December 12, 2024, around 8 PM in Ado-Ekiti, where the accused allegedly assaulted Ogunleye Cecilia, resulting in bodily harm.
Additionally, Inspector Oriyomi stated that the defendant also assaulted Segun Ojo at the same time and location, threatening violence against others.
The prosecutor highlighted that the charges fall under sections 186, 184, and 69 of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State 2021.
In response, the defendant’s counsel, Barrister Adunni Olanipekun, requested that the court grant her client bail, assuring that he would not flee the legal process.
