Abubakar Momoh Mourns Bayelsa Deputy Governor Ewhrudjakpo, Describes Him as a National Loss

The Honourable Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh FNSE, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Lawrence Oborawharievwo Ewhrudjakpo, describing it as a painful blow to the state, the Niger Delta, and the nation.

In a condolence message released on Friday, Momoh extended heartfelt sympathies to the Government and people of Bayelsa State, as well as the family of the late Deputy Governor, noting that Nigeria has lost “a patriot and bridge-builder of exceptional character.”

Momoh recalled his personal relationship with Ewhrudjakpo during their time together in the House of Representatives, describing him as “a man of depth, humility, and unwavering dedication to public service.”

According to the Minister, the late Deputy Governor was committed to the growth and stability of the Niger Delta and contributed immensely to Bayelsa’s development.

“His passing is not only a loss to Bayelsa but a loss to the entire country,” Momoh stated, praying for God’s comfort for the bereaved family and for the people of Bayelsa State.
