ADC Shifts Presidential, Governorship Screening Dates

According to a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the adjustment was made as part of efforts to ensure a smooth and secure screening process.

The party also announced that the screening of National Assembly aspirants will now be conducted in Abuja following security concerns in some parts of northern Nigeria.

The ADC stated that all aspirants affected by the changes would be contacted directly with revised schedules and additional details regarding the new arrangements.

The party expressed regret over any inconvenience caused by the postponement and thanked aspirants and stakeholders for their understanding and cooperation.

Meanwhile, former Rotimi Amaechi has formally declared his intention to contest the ADC presidential primary ahead of the next general election.

Reports indicate that Amaechi submitted his nomination forms at the party’s national secretariat on Thursday.

The former minister said his decision to enter the race is motivated by a commitment to restore dignity to Nigerians and tackle the country’s pressing economic and social challenges.

Amaechi is expected to compete with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and businessman Hayatu-Deen for the ADC presidential ticket.
