According to Ireporter Online, a high-level security meeting was convened in Kano on Tuesday following the abduction of ten residents across three villages in Tsanyanwa Local Government Area. The session, led by Assistant Inspector General of Police Ahmed Garba of Zone One Headquarters, brought together tactical and intelligence commanders from both Kano and Jigawa states.

The gathering focused on reviewing the rising wave of banditry in parts of Kano State and formulating a coordinated response to curb the threat. Security chiefs discussed operational strategies aimed at restoring calm to communities in both states while also outlining measures to reinforce the current deployment of police personnel and military operatives already on the ground in the affected areas.

AIG Garba reiterated the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, calling on residents to support ongoing security operations and provide timely information that could aid the fight against banditry and related criminal activities.
