The competition will bring together top-performing clubs from six international football confederations:
- Asian Football Confederation (AFC)
- Confederation of African Football (CAF)
- Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf)
- South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL)
- Oceania Football Confederation (OFC)
- Union of European Football Associations (UEFA)
The group stage draw, which determines team placements, is scheduled for December 5, 2024.

- Al Ahly (Egypt): Champions of the CAF Champions League (2020/21, 2022/23, 2023/24)
- Wydad AC (Morocco): Winners of the 2021/22 CAF Champions League
- ES Tunis (Tunisia): Via CAF rankings
- Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa): Via CAF rankings
AFC
- Al Hilal (Saudi Arabia): 2021 AFC Champions League winners
- Urawa Red Diamonds (Japan): 2022 AFC Champions League winners
- Al Ain (UAE): 2023/24 AFC Champions League champions
- Ulsan Hyundai (South Korea): Via AFC rankings
UEFA
- Chelsea (England): 2020/21 UEFA Champions League champions
