APC National Chairmanship: Support Group Throws Weight Behind Saliu Mustapha, Says Party Needs A Radical Change
Akwa Ibom: An APC support group under the aegis of Akwa Ibom APC Revival Support Group, AARSG led by its president, Comrade Udo Okon has thrown its weight behind Alhaji Saliu Mustapha for the office of the national chairman of the party, a key step towards building unity ahead of the APC national congress.
According to Okon it is high time the All Progressive Congrees has a radical change free from the strongholds of ex-Governors and inject fresh proactive members that would help turn the agenda of the party into national acceptance.
” We at AARSG have fully thrown our weight behind the national chairmanship aspiration of Saliu Mustapha, we are confident that his vision and ideas for the party would bring about a radical change that would assuage the feelings of the masses, we have followed the political trajectory of Mustapha and can boldly say he is the right choice for the position of the party’s national chairman.
His temperament, leadership traits, youthful energy, charming disposition, and dedication to service have placed him well ahead of other contestants. At this point in time, our party needs a chairman who is ready to address party members’ top priorities.
The APC as a party needs to implement fresh ideas, and to do this we need a willing National Chairman who is ready to passionately help us turn the ideas in this APC agenda into actions to help improve the people’s lives.
For once we appeal to our party to give an experienced neutral hand the mandate to turn the fortunes of our great party around. With his youthful zeal, we are positive that he would have the energy and time to appease all aggrieving members of our great party better than the majority of the ex-governors that have shown interest to be our National Chairman.
We strongly endorse Saliu Mustapha. To all those delegates who represent the patriotic citizens of Akwa Ibom and the South-South, your choice is clear and simple.
As a former Deputy National Chairman of CPC and now a national stakeholder of the APC, Saliu Mustapha understands service and sacrifice and is also someone who places what’s right ahead of what’s easy.
For we in the South-South and Nigerians in general we need courageous and dedicated leaders in charge of our great party, that would restore confidence to Nigerians, Saliu Mustapha is that man.”
This endorsement is coming after opinion polls placed Saliu Mustapha as the likely top contestant to emerge as the next APC national chairman in its forthcoming national congress scheduled to hold in October.
According to the majority of party members, the party needs strong and visionary leadership with the needed political potential to heal all wounds and refocus the party.
Saliu Mustapha seems to be the strongest voice who can bridge the gap between the youths and the elders of the party. A strong advocate for the reinvigoration of the APC. Mustapha is widely speculated to be the top favorite amongst party stakeholders.
