Army Chief Lagbaja Urges Troops To Overcome Insurgents And Reclaim Territory Amid Soldier Losses

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Taoreed Lagbaja, has visited the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Erena in Shiroro, Niger state, following the tragic loss of gallant troops during an encounter with insurgents in the Zungeru area.

Lagbaja has charged the troops with a resolute mission to vanquish the adversaries of the nation and recapture occupied territory.

During his visit on Wednesday, Lagbaja emphasized the critical need for the troops to unite and confront the challenges posed by insurgents and bandits. He reiterated that their fight is just, a defense of both Nigerians and the nation at large.

Lagbaja stressed the significance of the soldiers’ dedication to protecting lives and ensuring the safety of the nation.

He highlighted the noble nature of their profession, urging them not to waver in their determination.
