Army Pledges Renewed Push For Peace Across All Regions

Ajose, who also commands Sector 2 of Operation FASAN YAMMA, highlighted that insecurity in Nigeria’s northwest has significantly declined over recent years.

In remarks to the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists during their visit to Giginya Barracks in Sokoto, Ajose said, “Nigeria is improving. We are trying our best and will continue without complaints until peace is fully restored.”

He added that the increase in daily travel along the Sokoto-Gusau road is a sign of progress, reflecting a reduction in violence, cattle rustling, and other threats in the area.

The General also expressed appreciation for media collaboration, noting, “The media is crucial in portraying the nation’s progress, but professionalism and accuracy in reporting are essential.”
