Timothy Adegoke. The appeal follows a ruling based largely on circumstantial evidence implicating Adedoyin, hotel staff, and the fatal events at Hilton Hotels, Ile-Ife, in 2021.

Adedoyin, dissatisfied with the verdict, is challenging the decision alongside his co-defendants, arguing insufficient evidence linking him directly to the scene or incident.

During Tuesday’s session, Femi Falana, SAN, representing the respondents, urged the court to uphold the prior judgment, while Adedoyin’s counsel, Kehinde Eleja, SAN, contended the lower court’s evidence as inconclusive. Presiding Judge Olufemi Akeju reserved judgment, with a decision date forthcoming.
