Taking to his official social media handle on Sunday, Atiku shared his sentiments on the match, labeling the result as frustrating for the team and its supporters.
Despite the setback, Atiku reaffirmed his unwavering support for the club, expressing confidence in their capacity to bounce back from the defeat.
In addition, he advised his son, Mustapaha Abubakar, against premature celebration, reminding him that the league title race is far from over.
“Not the result we expected from Arsenal. But we move; it’s not over until it is over,” Atiku wrote.
Aston Villa delivered two late blows at the Emirates Stadium, securing a dramatic 2-0 victory that significantly impacted Arsenal’s aspirations for the Premier League title.
The goals from Leon Bailey and Ollie Watkins in the closing stages of the match dealt a significant blow to Arsenal’s ambitions in the league.
