During his address to the corps members at the orientation camps in Anambra State, Mbaukwu, and Ebonyi State, Afikpo, General Ahmed urged them to assess the needs of their communities, seek support from local residents, and initiate meaningful projects aimed at improving their quality of life.

The DG further cautioned against unauthorized travel and nighttime journeys, advising that permission should be obtained from the NYSC and their employers if travel becomes necessary. “Please avoid night travel due to the inherent dangers. Do not board vehicles by the roadside; always use designated motor parks for your travel needs,” he stated.

Moreover, he encouraged the Corps Members to forge lasting friendships and relationships throughout their service year, highlighting the importance of unity and integration, which are central to the NYSC’s mission. He advised them to use this year as an opportunity to plan for a brighter future while steering clear of any social delinquency that could compromise their prospects.
