The attack, described as a revenge operation, occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, February 13, 2024. According to reports, the assailants targeted the residence of Alhaji Hamisu Kasuwar Daji, storming the village and wreaking havoc for three harrowing hours.

The abducted include Alhaji Kasuwar Daji’s two wives, 13 children, a brother, and several dependents. Amidst the chaos, a sense of fear gripped the community as the bandits roamed the village, searching houses and abducting numerous villagers.

The tragedy highlights the escalating insecurity plaguing Zamfara State and underscores the urgent need for decisive action to combat the menace of banditry in the region.
