According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian celebrity entrepreneur and cryptocurrency investor Linus Williams Ifejirika, widely known as Blord, has officially trademarked the brand name “Ratel” and issued a cease-and-desist order to social media critic Verydarkman.

Blord took to Instagram to warn Verydarkman to refrain from using the name without proper authorization. The brand name “Ratel” has been used by Verydarkman to refer to his fanbase, but Blord stated that following the trademark registration, the critic would no longer be allowed to use it without consent.

In a statement, Blord said, “I have directed my SAN to issue a cease and desist to VDM to stop using my brand name ‘Ratel’. He will have to get approval from me henceforth before using that name.”

The action comes amid a longstanding social media dispute between the two public figures, which began in October 2025. The feud reportedly started when Verydarkman traveled to China to assist Nigerian business owners in sourcing goods and suppliers, during which he accused Blord of alleged business fraud and overpricing modified gadgets. The disagreement later intensified when Verydarkman reportedly petitioned the police to investigate Blord’s business practices.
