Court Drama: Judge Slams Odumodublvck For Missing Hearing

According to Ireporter Online, a High Court sitting in Life Camp, Abuja, has issued a stern warning over the absence of rapper Odumodublvck in an ongoing ₦2 billion assault case filed against him.

The warning was delivered on Thursday during proceedings at the Federal Capital Territory High Court, where the claimant, Levi Ogbogiri, popularly known as Kraziecent, was present and prepared to continue his testimony as the sole witness in the matter.

Counsel to the claimant informed the court that the hearing was slated to proceed but noted that the defence had submitted a letter seeking an adjournment. The defence explained that its counsel was outside the court’s jurisdiction and would only return by the end of May, requesting that the case be rescheduled for June.

Although the claimant’s legal team did not oppose the application for adjournment, they urged the court to impose conditions, noting that the request did not originate directly from the lead defence counsel but from another lawyer within the same chambers. The claimant’s counsel also highlighted that the case had suffered multiple adjournments, some linked to the defence, while others were due to court renovation and a period of mourning in late 2025.

Delivering her ruling, Justice Adeyemi Ajayi took note of the submissions from both parties and cautioned that failure by the defendant to appear at the next hearing could attract further judicial action. The court subsequently fixed June 23, 2026, for continuation of proceedings.

The suit arises from an alleged incident in December 2024, in which the claimant claimed he was assaulted while taking photographs and videos at a public event. He further alleged that the incident left him emotionally distressed and resulted in damage to his iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The claimant is seeking compensation for medical expenses, a public apology across social media platforms and national newspapers, as well as ₦2 billion in damages and other reliefs.
