BREAKING: Buhari To Unveil New Naira Notes
The Governor of the Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele, has confirmed that President Muhammadu Buhari will unveil the designed Naira notes tomorrow, Wednesday, November 23, 2022.
Emefiele made the announcement at the Central Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee’s monthly meeting in Abuja.

Emefiele announced in October that the central bank would issue redesigned N200, N500, and N1,000 notes beginning December 15, 2022.
He stated that the CBN will no longer wait until December to unveil the new notes.
He stated that the deadline for returning old Naira notes to commercial banks in exchange for new ones would not be extended.
