BREAKING: EFCC Bows To Court Order On Emefiele (DETAILS)

In compliance with a court order, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has presented the former Governor of the Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele, in court for the bail application hearing.

Emefiele, who had been in the custody of security agencies for over 149 days, was directed by Justice Olukayode Adeniyi of the Federal Capital Territory High Court to be unconditionally released or brought to the court to have his bail application heard.

Wearing a yellow Kaftan and a cap and accompanied by EFCC operatives, the former CBN Governor arrived at the courtroom around 12:30 pm.

Justice Adeniyi had reaffirmed his order on Monday, mandating that the detained former CBN Governor be brought to court on November 8 for the purpose of considering his bail application.
