Breaking: Leadership Crisis Forces Lagos Assembly To Send Staff Home Indefinitely

The Lagos State House of Assembly has instructed all staff and legislative aides to work remotely until further notice due to the ongoing leadership crisis within the Assembly.

This directive, issued in an internal memo by Acting Clerk Mr. A.T.B. Ottun, aims to safeguard personnel and prevent operational disruptions. “The House leadership has approved this measure as a precautionary step pending the resolution of the current crisis,” Ottun stated.

All staff, including those under LAHASCOM, are expected to remain accessible while working remotely. Ottun emphasized that communication lines must remain open for assignments as needed.

Amid rising tensions over leadership disputes, Rt. Hon. (Princess) Lasbat Mojisola Meranda reassured staff of their safety and the Assembly’s commitment to a peaceful resolution of the crisis.
