The goal is to ensure justice is served if they are indeed serving soldiers.

The statement explained that the Division is collaborating with the Lagos State Command of the Nigerian Police to investigate the identities of the suspected individuals and to uncover the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate event. The Army emphasized that if the suspects are confirmed to be active-duty soldiers, they will be subjected to the full extent of both military and civilian laws.

While extending their condolences to the victim’s family, the Army assured that appropriate actions would be taken to ensure justice is served in accordance with the situation.
