BREAKING: NCC Tracked, Leaked Peter Obi’s Conversation With Bishop Oyedepo? – Fresh Fact Emerge

The Nigerian Communications Commission has responded to claims, particularly on social media, that it was responsible for leaking the audio of a phone conversation between Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and Bishop David Oyedepo, Founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, aka Winners’ Chapel.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the NCC’s Director of Public Affairs, Reuben Muoka, distanced the commission from the leaked audio, stating that the commission was bound by the Nigerian Communications Act (NCA) 2003 and thus “cannot track nor leak telephone conversations to anyone.”

The NCC stated that it had been inundated with media inquiries and was issuing the statement to clear the air.

The statement read, “The Nigerian Communications Commission has been inundated with enquiries by the media on allegations of telephone ‘tracking’ and ‘leakage’ made against the Commission by some individuals and groups in the social and alternative media.
