BREAKING: Saudi Arabia Declares Friday As Eid-El-Fitr Day

Saudi Arabia has officially announced that the Eid-el-Fitr celebration, marking the end of the Ramadan fast, will commence on Friday. According to Ireporter Online, the declaration was conveyed through a statement issued by the Saudi Press Agency on behalf of the Saudi Supreme Court.

The statement explained that the decision followed the completion of 30 days of Ramadan in accordance with Islamic lunar calendar traditions. It confirmed that Thursday marks the final day of fasting, while Friday has been designated as the day for the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

Eid-el-Fitr is traditionally determined by the sighting of the crescent moon, which signifies the end of the fasting period observed by Muslims worldwide. Ramadan, one of the five pillars of Islam, requires adherents to abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs during daylight hours, while also emphasizing acts of charity and compassion toward the less privileged.

Saudi Arabia, which hosts Islam’s holiest sites including the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, typically witnesses widespread religious devotion throughout the holy month.

However, this year’s observance across parts of the Muslim world has been influenced by ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. According to Ireporter Online, the situation, involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, has contributed to heightened insecurity, with reports of missile and drone attacks targeting infrastructure and civilian areas.

Despite these challenges, Muslims in Saudi Arabia and around the world are expected to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr with prayers, festivities, and acts of generosity.
